The art of teaching

Vicki A. Davis posted an interesting article over at the Cool Cat Teaching Blog today. What I found most interesting, was this quote:

“Often artistry is most recognizable when the medium is most lacking!”

Education is broken. New thinking and new approaches will fix it. Our current model is a relic of the Industrial Age and the Industrial Age is over. It’s time to take a moment to step back and rethink the way the we are going to approach education for the Ingenuity Age. This kind of thinking is the answer.

On an aside, be sure to keep up with Dave Warlick at 2ยข Worth. I don’t know much about this Stephen Heppell character, but I respect that Dave will have an interesting story to share when he returns.
