During my first year as a teacher, I took a Classroom Management class at Hunter College. The class was taught by Dr. Thomas McIntyre – better known as “Dr. Mac.” Instead of a textbook, Dr. Mac used his website, BehaviorAdvisor.com, as a companion to his lectures. The website itself looks straight out of the late 1990s (I included a screenshot so that you didn’t have to take my word for it), but the information is invaluable. Dr. Mac addresses everything from assertive discipline to classroom design.
